About the API Older Adults Task Force

Created by the Asian Pacific Policy & Planning Council (A3PCON) in 1986, APIOATF is a coalition of over forty (40+) members agencies comprising human services and community-based organizations that provide culturally appropriate programs and services to the Asian and Pacific Islander elderly in the Cambodian, Chinese, Filipino, Guamanian, Japanese, Korean, Lao, Samoan, Taiwanese, Thai, Tongan and Vietnamese communities throughout Los Angeles County.
As an advocate for the Asian and Pacific Islander elderly community, the API Older Adults Task Force testifies at public hearings, makes presentations at inter-agency meetings, and meets with government officials. We take every opportunity we can to call attention to the plight of the severely underserved API elderly population.
Representatives of member organizations/agencies meet to develop appropriate strategies, and coordinate planning, organization and delivery of services to Asian and Pacific Islander older adults.
The Little Tokyo Service Center, a Community Development Corporation (LTSC CDC), is the fiscal agent for APIOATF.
